Alyssa + Kyle =  Disney Proposal

After multiple attempts to photograph their engagement session, we had beautifully overcast skies this past week and found an evening that worked for both Alyssa and Kyle.  Alyssa suggested the Eicher Arts Center and I was thrilled.  It's always fun to return home to your own stomping grounds as a child for an engagement session.

I always ask for a recap of their love story and we thrilled when I received the story from Kyle's vantage point.    Alyssa and Kyle met at their jobs, but due to the fact that they work in different departments, they didn't cross paths much.   Alyssa became brave enough to contact Kyle through Facebook and they chatted.  She then explained that if she could have his phone number they could text and it would be much easier.  Kyle refused.   That is until she mentioned that she enjoys target shooting and Kyle set up what would become their first date.

Fast forward a few weeks later and Kyle had the opportunity to meet Alyssa's amazing family in Lancaster.  While there for a visit, he got to see Alyssa's competitive nature while exploring Lancaster and playing miniature golf.  He knew then, he was falling hard for this girl.

Two years later, Kyle decided it was time to get serious about marriage.  He had a timeline in mind and knew when and how it would look.  That plan all changed when Alyssa's mom Lynn caught wind of the fact that a proposal could be in the works.  She convinced Kyle that the upcoming family vacation to Disney (Alyssa's favorite place in the world) would make the most magical proposal spot.  Problem was, the ring wasn't purchased and this wasn't Kyles' planned time-line.  After agreeing with Alyssa's parents that this could work, a very stressful few weeks of details came together and Kyle knew the magical spot to propose.  Having been to the Epcot food and wine festival in the past, he knew the exact spot for his enchanted proposal - in front of the Hawaii billboard.  One small problem, when he arrived at the park, he could not find the billboard, it had been moved.  Panicked, he and the family decided that in front of the Spaceship Earth, Epcot's most photographed spot.     All prepared for his big moment with all of her family having their cameras armed and ready, Alyssa started complaining about why they are standing there and begins to leave, he hugs her tells her that he loves her and she PUSHES away!!  Frustrated, Kyle got down on one knee, pulls out the ring and box and Alyssa begins sobbing.  The family all captures it on their phones and they have memories that will forever be treasured.  Kyle is pretty sure she said yes but due to the nature of her crying, it's not actually confirmed.  (This is told from Kyle's vantage point)

Judging from the love and laughter that these two share, Alyssa very much said yes and like every little girl dreams, she has indeed found her Prince Charming.   I look forward to their Hawaiian flavored wedding this fall!  Enjoy the engagement Session of Alyssa and Kyle...
